Hey guys, a quick question...
My friend got pulled over tonight, the cop said he was doing 55 on 35. When he asked to see a radar (that's what the cop indicated on the ticket), the cop refused. He was driving east on rockside, when the cop was heading west.
When my friend said that he won't sign the ticket unless he sees the radar the cop said that he doesn't have to show one to him and that if he won't sign it he'll have to go to jail.
I thought that if the cop indicates the he got him with a radar and when askd for one he must show one. Am I correct? When I got the ticket I asked for one and the cop gladly showed my speed
He's probably going to take it to court and maybe fight it, but I'm just curious if he has any chances. By the way there were 2 other guys in a car when he got a ticket, so they heard the whole conversation

From the Dragway 42 website...
January 24, 2007
Toby Ehrmantraut announced today that Dragway 42 will be running an 1/8th mile format for the faster classes during the 2007 season.
Top, Mod, and Pro Bike will be running on the 1/8th mile distance for the track's 2007 Summit Super Series points events. The Box and NoBox classes will also the 1/8th mile at all non-points events at Dragway 42. All Street classes, whether for money or for trophies, will continue to run 1/4 mile. Test and Tune events will be run 1/4 mile with racers receiving 1/8th mile incremental times and having the option of "shutting off" after that point.
"We did a survey about a month ago. We asked racers about switching Top and Pro Bike to 1/8th mile. Most everybody was in favor of it. We also asked about running NoBox 1/8th mile at the Combo events and nearly everyone was also in favor of that. We did not ask about switching the Mod class to 1/8th mile on the survey, but we received a lot of e-mails from racers asking us to switch that class too. Don't forget, since Mod is a 0 to 11.99 ET class, we could get just as fast cars in Mod as we get for Top," explained Ehrmantraut.
"There aren't very many 1/8th mile tracks around here at this time, but 1/8th mile racing seems to be gaining in popularity. A lot of 1/4 mile tracks around the country are starting to run their faster classes on the 1/8th mile. Even the famed Indianapolis Raceway Park now runs their fast classes as 1/8th mile competitions. It is more affordable for the racers. It is much easier on parts," Ehrmantraut continued.
"We are going to give it a try for 2007 and see how it works out. We may end up switching it back in all or some classes in 2008, but we will give it a chance and see how it works out."
Looks like we'll still be able to run 1/4 there!
