btw.. off curiousity, anyone ever have experience with Alphasonik subwoofers? I have a good deal on a sub enclosure and alphasonik sub that will fit right into the tool well.....just that i don't know anything about their subs.
Hey Kyle, good seein' you on here, I was in the Evo IX at handel's in stow about a week ago, you took me for a ride, i'm hoping to get a tune by the end of the summer....
Hey Guys,
I was up at Dragway 42 tonight and got a chance to talk to a few members on here. Evolution[OH], it was nice meeting you. <------ great guy!
I had a buddy of mines car up, and the clutch went out, as well as another evos....
I know 4 guys from around here, Akron/Cleveland, that are in desperate need of new clutches!
I had a chance to "work" on an silver Evo 9. The owner's name was Chris (PM me if you run across this) who had a buschur 3" tb, buschur exhaust manifold, and intake. Car was running good (12.5's @110), but needed a tune. Chris said he had dyno time schedualed with AL @ buschurs later in may.
....I figured I would log it a bit and work on a few things. Car did not respond to added timing like they usually do (no knock in the logs, but not the additional timing I was adding either). Turns out I had the #1 HO Timing map open, and not the #2 as I usually work on.
The Ecu uses #2 at all times and interpolates between it and #1 or #3 quite randomly actually. (only evo 9s have 3 HO ignition maps, evo 8s have a High and a Low)
Many of the tuners out there are either replacing all three High Octane Timing maps with the same "tuned" map, or are just changing #2. I typically work with #2 and let the computer do its thing between the other maps, and will do so until the developers of the software figure out why and when the ecu chooses to interpolate.
I got some good data on the actual ecu process between these maps tho, and am excited about this new found info. Excited to use this to help you guys out.
Vendor Status coming soon....

How do you personally feel about the Tilton twin compared to the Exedy? I prefer the tilton but would like to know what you think.
If you would really like to do a mass install day let me know, because I need to get Scott's and my buddy Dj's car done before the end of may for the dyno day im holding. I would be willing to do a weekend with you on 4 cars. Pm me to let me know.
Evolution[OH] should get in on this as well!
Sounds good! Im making a trip to the dyno at the end of may if you are able to make it. Should be about 4-6 evos going and 4-6 DSM's. Let me know. PM me for my phone number (cant post it in the forums yet due to not being a vendor yet) if you do not already have it.
I had one in my SUV couple years ago. 1000watt, I loved it
sounds like we need a special "Stow Chapter" Evo club!
Back in the day...when I did stereo installs, i always believed the amp and enclosure were more important than the woofer (up to a certain level anyway)

Ya! .... My cars good, but Scott's car (sscollision) needs one bad. I had his car for about a week and the Twin HD Exedy kept getting worse and worse. Needs a new one so we can setup knock control on his AEM ----> Then to the Dyno for some big numbers!

horrible 60ft. (like 1.8-1.9) + 19"
And actually when I started out good, clutch slipped.
The more I go to 1/4 mile the more I realize that it's not for me. Got hooked on open track...
I don't drag a lot anyways, but it just doesn't make sense to me anymore

The Tune/Dyno day details are not fully worked out as of yet. We were thinking about actually taking a trip down to columbus to IPS motorsports (dynojet...... would rather be on a mustang or dyno dynamics but...). Not sure yet, but I have a pretty good deal down there for dyno time, but we may try to do something more local. I will let you know more details soon. Anyone Interested can PM me to get on a list and I will be able to get more information on cost etc...
