I guess I'll bleed it again and see if there is still some air in there. I had no heat issues with the brakes this time, but the pedal didn't feel solid enough to dive very deep into any of the braking zones. Ask Carter, he was eating me up under braking and we have the same pads.

How did those Hoosiers feel Eli? Did you get bumped up to HPDE3?

I didn't have any heating issues either.. I"m on stock pads though. They did seem to fade a tiny bit, but I wasn't diving on them hard really at all. The rotors did change color a bit though. There was alot of traffic, I would always get a break then catch someone right away. I used the pits a bit to get some more distance. I really need to get my car tuned and then I will have more confidence in the car

My HP+ pads worked "ok". They definitely don't have enough bite and fade easily. For the next event I hope to be running something a little better suited.
The Hoosiers felt GREAT. No rubbing issues at all. Tons of grip.
Yep..I'll be in HPDE3 next time. Should be fun Hopefully a bunch of us can make it to Putnam.

Yeah the HP+ are ok -- the initial bite is not there...but then again, traveling at 100+ the initial bite is over pretty quickly I would like to get another pad but that will have to wait.

Nick, I can't recall -- do you have stainless lines and Motul?? As for my driving -- I wasn't feeling brave or naive, I was just doing what my instructor told me to do In the second session he told me to get on it more and what area to start braking -- I also noticed he had different lines from other instructors -- I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it or not.

I'll have to see into checking out Putnam -- how much is it for one day? mid-ohio??

Noise concerns!? I can't beleive something like that wasn't discussed PRIOR to the agreement to use the lot. Supposedely there is a neighbor in the area that complains even when the police are there training..making noise.

Putnam is a 2 day event. 295 isn't bad at all for two days really. I'm going to do what I can to make it.

Ugh, you guys just wait about the whole brake thing. I think I went through 3/4 of a set of brand new pads this weekend. I need ducts BAD...

So no auto-x? bummer. I was actually contemplating mowing down a few cones this weekend.

I am in a wedding that weekend.

I'll try to make the whole weekend at Grattan though.

I'm on stainless lines and ATE blue. The fluid should have nothing to do with the pedal feel, and it worked just fine this time out on the track. I need to bleed again, cause it still feels like there is air in there. After two thorough bleedings you wouldn't think there would be any.

Eli, what pads are you considering that would offer more bite?

You guys better sign up soon if you want to go, it's a cross-over event (OH/IN and Midwest regions) and hear it is already filling up fast.
