Would any one like to help out with a clutch install next month or recommened a shop around here that could do it? Im off work 3/22-3/29. i havent decided between ACT or Fidanza street clutch. I feel a twin disk would be overkill for me.
Registration is open for the first NASA event at Mid Oh April 11-13th. I signed up for HPDE2 on Friday so I can give this Vette a proper beating.
I have like 8 other guys from CSS signed up in HPDE1 for Friday as well so if you guys can swing a Friday like we did last year that will be awesome.

Timmy,
You might want to consider some small things like.....
shift bushings (under hood and under the shifter)
BOV
Boost Controller
Springs and retainers for those cams
SS Brake lines
As for bigger turbo options....I love the green I just put in mine.....spool is almost instant and the power never drops off.
I would recommend a larger FMIC too if you decide to get a bigger turbo.
Heck you are welcome to come over some time and drive my car.....tell me what you think.

I already installed SS brake lines ,MR BOV & shifter bushings inside and out 2 summers ago. MBC is setting in my tool box with an AEM wideband & boost gauge, short ram intake.I havent decided on what fmic &pipes to go with yet .

You have to consider if you plan on keeping the stock battery. If you do your choices for hard pipes will be limited. To be quite honest the lower pipe will be the best bang for the buck. AMS has a great one.
For your turbo the FP green is awesome. The price is great and if you wanted, with race gas, you can run 30+psi. There really isn't a need though because this turbo is awesome for every day driving. Oh and down shifting to 4th for a highway pass is hardly ever needed. Just press the gas and hold on.
One thing you might want to try too is some throttle body seals. They have a tendency to leak over time. I know WORKS sells them. I replaced mine and there was a noticable increase in gas mileage. I am averaging well over 270 miles a tank. MachV sells them too.
Front and rear motor mounts stiffen things up a bit and make fast shifting more precise. Buschur sells these at a good price. Problem is they have to be pressed in, but any good shop can do it for you on the cheap.
Oh and something that just makes driving feel better is seat lowering brackets. I know it sounds wierd, but the EVO seats are high. The lowered position is so much more comfortable. Rodmillenstore sells the brackets.
See the little things can make a difference.

I have a used IX turbo for sale for $450 with all the gaskets and water lines that you need and I also have a ETS lower intercooler pipe for $125 with the couplers and T bolt clamps.
If it were me I would do a FMIC and the best mod you can do to these cars by far is a nice set of coilovers and an aggressive alignment.
You can still run a ton of boost on a IX turbo and make some good power. I have the Forge wastegate actuator for a IX turbo for $100 that will let you run higher boost without the spike and taper that you get on the stock WGA and I have some 880 cc injectors for $225 so you can run that higher boost safely.
So yeah buy all my parts and add a FMIC and some nice coilovers to the mix and you'll have a fast car that turns like it should. And you will still have some money left in your pocket.

I wish I could go to AutoX but as usual military duty gets in the way. I will be up in Columbus all weekend. I am sure you will all have a good time.
We should have an evo only competition this year at an autox event. Each of us pitch in a few bucks and the best time wins. I think it would be fun.

I expected to see more than one evo running today. I would've been racing but I'm a slacker. Hahah.
I met a fellow evo owner but never got his name. I know you're on here, my name is David by the way.
