I need to adjust mine, right now it is engaging right off the floor. Kind of a PITA to drive it like that. In other news I have all the parts I need to put the red on and I cleaned out the garage today. It's looking like I might do the swap next weekish. You feel like schooling me on extending my maps Paul?

I can teach a lot about the maps if you want. The issue is that there are still a few bugs in the new "big maps" v7 Tephra 96530006 rom that need to be addressed.
We can tweek the stock size map to incorporate up to about 400 load with very little effort. I am running 27psi on my green and never go above 330 load. The Red can do a bit more so I think 400 would suffice. This is, of course, unless you plan on running race gas or meth all the time.
If you really want a beast, do the injectors (1200cc) and double pumper upgrades and run E85. E85 and a Red with the right cams.....500whp is easily accomplished and can still drive it like stock.

If you are not all that modded right now, I wouldn't mess with the tune too much. Since you already have a Cobb map, you should be good until you start adding some more upgrades. Also, winter is upon us so tuining on the street right now it a little dangerous with the cold roads. (lack of traction at high speed = BAD).

Also in your experience Paul, if the clutch is engaging within an inch of the floor, about how many turns should I try on the adjuster rod to bring it up a few inches?

First, for the clutch adjustment....I adjust it primarily for the correct amount of free play...about an inch or so. It is kind of trail and error to get the exact clutch engagement point where you want it. The key is to adjust the clutch high enough for full transmission dissengagement. Every clutch is different....just play with it until you like it...then lock it down with the nut.

And I changed my mind, I think I am going to do the Tephra V7. I hate reading through his entire threads since they are full of "dude this is so awesome" and "I wish I could send you some money but I'm a brokedick" etc. Time to brush up on my geek speak.

v7 looks promising, especially the big maps. The problem is that we don't have many warm tuning days left. If you want to get, do it soon, otherwise cold weather drivability could become an issue.

Are you currently on 94170015?
If so I have very near complete listing of XML definitions that could prove worth while to your cause.
I too will eventually switch to 96530006, but I have to solve the poor cold idle issue first.
I am anxious to try the big maps.
As for your car ony haveing up to 300 load, I am running 27 psi and never go above 312 so mine is scaled to 320. The new big maps are automatically scaled out to 350. Unless you will be running e85 or race gas and +30psi of boost, it wouldn't be necessary to go above 350.

You should switch to 94170015 first. This will give you the opportunity to learn about how all of the tables work. You will also be able to get used to the Tephra functions. Things like no lift to shift, knock light, valet mode, launch map, etc.
Once you have learned all the basics, then make the switch to v7. It is way more advanced and the rom they are using has a lot of adjustments that need to be made in order for it to work on a USDM car. In addition, you won't be able to run EGR.
There is a few problems with the current methods of EGR removal, primarily is poor cold idle. Every "problem" is escalated if your car is heavily modded.
