Works dyno day in St. Louis

Either the last weekend in October or first in November works for me.

Btw slt- Thanks for the confirmation on the dates! Right now it looks like the November 1/2 date is a go so far.

Any mod you make to your car could potentially be viewed in a negative way by a dealership. Kind of depends a lot on the circumstances, the type of mod(s), and the personality of the dealership.
In the world of mods an Ecu re-flash is about as invisible a mod as you will find. If need be the ECU can be re-flashed with the stock maps by Works.
Btw-The dealerships have access to OBDII code readers, but don't have ready access to read program code.
At the end of the day items like boost controllers, piggy-back computers, cone air intakes, Dp's, test pipes, and 3" stainless exhausts may get a dealerships attention..a reflash won't.
Again this is just my perspective, and everyone is entitiled to their own opinions on the matter. More importantly making modifications is the responsibility of each and every performance car owner.
From a vendor standpoint, Works takes their parts and services seriously, and is one of few vendors who formally warranties their parts and services. These are the kinds of things that make it easy to embrace the system component philosophy, great fit and finish, innovation in product, and repeatable performance gains Works has achieved with their current line of products.
I can only imagine that the future holds many more products that will help round-out that system components selection.

Found some good information on the WORKS website: http://www.worksrally.com/
We do what our brains tell us. A car's ECU is no different. There is no single more valuable tool available to any tuner than the ability to access the car's brain and reprogram it to perform to its fullest potential -- especially after tuning parts have been added to the system. No piggy-back add-ons that intercept and falsify signals to the factory ECU and no standalone engine management systems requiring hacking apart the factory harness. The WORKS Brain is the factory ECU that has been reprogrammed with WORKS Performance Software optimizing both air/fuel ratios and ignition timing. Nothing comes close to the plug-and-play performance and reliability of the WORKS Brain. In addition, the WORKS Brain Flash RL is available to customers who only want to increase the factory rev limit to their desired RPM.* In both cases the ECU can be reprogrammed back to stock if necessary.

Ok just one question, what time are we to meet at Axis Tuning or are we meeting somewhere before we go there? Just wondering so I can plan a time to leave. And so when I spread the word down here in Spr Mo.

At a fast, but sane, driving pace you are probably 3.5-4.0 hours from Springfield Mo to St.Louis... then add another .5 to Belleville. Folks coming from KC and Chicago are also going to have a good 4.0 hour drive as well. I was thinking that folks from out of town would be making it to Axis around 10:00-11:00 depending on traffic, and departure time.
I thought that the local owners could meet Ron at around 8:30-9:00 and get things set-up and ready to go. Realistically it seems like dyno runs could start fairly early letting some of the locals get their runs completed before the out of town folks make it in.
The mid day should be focused on getting the out of town folks through their runs so they can leave at a decent time, and the remaining locals could wrap-up the day.
Let me know what you guys think about starting this in a staged way. If you want to wait until everyone is on site, we could do that just realizing that it might result in a late night especially for those driving home the same day/night.
I was planning on building a rough time slot schedule for each participant, then trying to at least stick to that sequencing regardless of time change factors.
Let me know what you think!

Sounds good, we can begin to get a plan of attack for the days schedule together this week, and hopefully have everything charted-out from including tentative start, lunch plans, and target for completion of the gtg.
