Ok I'm done now
I see you love the area..

In related news, HB3325 passed the house recently, and is currently being considered in the senate. Essentially, if this passes (it's already through the senate transportation committee, and the votes suggest there is zero opposition to this), you can go one of three ways:
  • Same as today: nothing up front, dark as you want in the back
  • Up to 50% (+/- 5%) in the front, and up to 30% (+/- 5%) in the back
  • Up to 35% all around.
This is very good news, and apparently, the FOP is actually on-board with this.
I just took my 35% fronts off after getting two warnings and now it might be cool? !%%$ %@# !#@#$

I got stopped once and warned just for tint and again it was mentioned again by the cop while i was pulled over for speeding recently. He let it slide (even though there was a written record of my first warning). After that, I decided that a $250 tint ticket was stupid, especially compared to the $135 speeding ticket

The webpage for the bill hasn't been updated yet, which makes me suspect they didn't get to it until late in the day and it didn't make it into the website update. According to the schedule, they're in session over the weekend; we probably won't have an update at this point until Monday, unless someone in Springfield knows how to find this stuff out another way.

I'm too lazy to search but that may be in just cook county. However I work in Cook County and visit friends and family in Cook County. And YOU know we cruise to Cook County. Until it's legal, it's not worth the expense. Heck, I paid $190 for both (front and rear) sides and the rear windshield to be tinted. WTF do I look like paying $250 (plus court fees?) just to keep it?

Yes, they glanced at my pic and let me go. No BS. Didn't even ask me anything else. The prosecutor may have seen the pic for half a sec, being generous. I was amazed. I had a whole story planned out just in case they asked me q's but nothing.

BTW I payed 100 for all 5 windows tinted with lifetime warranty! : )

Yea, that was a good move lol. If this new law passes then I'll leave it on but if not its coming off asap. I'll probably get the back done darker though.

^+1

If this bill passes I would be going to that tinter for 100 in a second... I've been wanting to get tints forever but the fear of that fix-it ticket has kept me away...
