Window Tint License Plate IL
Yes, they glanced at my pic and let me go. No BS. Didn't even ask me anything else. The prosecutor may have seen the pic for half a sec, being generous. I was amazed. I had a whole story planned out just in case they asked me q's but nothing.
BTW I payed 100 for all 5 windows tinted with lifetime warranty! : )

Where did you get it done at?
Looks like they missed the reading yesterday; HB 3325 is back on the senate schedule for today for its third reading. According to the live video stream they're still working their way through Senate bill second readings right now, but they seem to be ripping through them pretty quickly.
i got the tint done in merrilville, IN. I didn't just go for tints, haha I have family near by. Its like 45 mins away from downtown chicago, roughly 40-55 miles away. IMO still worth it, chicago sells for above 250 for 5 windows. It was a special promotion but I believe they still have it goin on.

you're as anxious as I am to have this damn this passed
And...nothing today either. Too much time spent debating whether or not accused (not convicted) felons should be required to supply a DNA sample for a state database.
It has to be either tomorrow or Friday, or they'll miss the third reading deadline.

i had like 35 in the front and he orginally pulled me over for no front plate the said my windows are to dark. im thinking about doing them again since the weather is getting nice my windows will be down most of the time anyway
They skipped it during this morning's reading, since apparently the Senate sponsor (Sen. Murphy) wasn't present. They're still working through the list, but I suspect they won't get to it again before they wrap up for the day (they're arguing quite a bit over HB436 right now, a loan program for ex-offenders trying to start a business).
If they can't get to it soonish (and I'm actually not sure on procedure; once skipped, they may not be able to revisit it the same day), it'll have to wait until tomorrow.

I was wrong; third reading is happening right now.
Edit: interesting, the rationale for the wording of the current version seems to be that the Chicago PD was concerned about the cost of the tint meters, and the percentages specified appear to allow for "tint cards" to be used to perform the test rather than having to plunk down for a meter.

So wait does this mean it's officially legal to have tints on the front windows.. If so what's legal.. I saw 35% but what does that mean.. anything above 35% or anything below 35% is legal. And to be noobish.. is the higher the percentage darker or the lower the percentage darker.. Thanks in advance to whom answers this question.
