My friend moved to Chicago this past summer and same thing happened to him. His silver 9 was found a few days later completely gutted, but we have a pretty good idea who did it.

He posted his evo for sale on craigslist and a "buyer" said he was from St. Paul, MN and couldn't drive to Chicago to check it out right away so my friend sent him some videos of car. 2 weeks later the "buyer" said he wasn't interested anymore and 2 days after that my friend's evo was stolen. Police have all of this information already, but no update on what is happening about it.

I bet many of the parts are being sold in the classifieds here. I live in the chicagoland area and was worried this summer while reading all the stolen posts. Luckily nothing has happened yet to mine and I feal bad for any victims.
