Evo 8 mivec swap

I am getting a mivec with 30000 miles on it and swapping it to my 03 VIII. Anyone know what complications I might run into?

Beyond the oil lines, make sure the Evo 9 ecu and engine harness are there as well as a set of cams.

I have all the wiring and ecu and I'm getting the entire engine and turbo so i think it should just all bolt up. This is my first evo engine swap. I'm worried about putting all the wiring back right.

As long as you have everything and it was never cut or modified, you'll be fine...it'll only fit one way.

Well so far not as good as I'd hoped. Just a bunch of problems. The current problem is that no matter what I do with my boost controller I can't boost more than 10psi.

It's either the way it's hooked up or the wastegate of the turbo. The rod could be bent or the diaphragm torn, whatever it may be it's more along those lines. Who's MBC is it?

It may be the MBC, that's why I ask...I might have to see the car if the boost comes on like normal but only hits ten psi. If it comes on later, then it may be the wastegate then.

It was fine when I went straight without the mbc, boomba btw, and it boosted to 22. I put the controller back in and it takes a long time to boost and only hits 10. I tried putting the mbc both ways to make sure I had it right.

It's the controller, like I said above, there's only a few options for things to go wrong, go and return it if it doesn't work.

Get yourself a Hallman or AMS or we make our own as well...we run it on a few different power rated cars and they work. Keep it single, don't so all these different stages or whatever.
