30k mile maintenance around STL area??

I drive a 2008 Evo X GSR that has 29700 miles on it. I'm looking for a reputable shop around the Saint Louis area that can perform the 30k mile maintenance. I'm willing to travel a ways if the price is right....

I would just do the maintenance myself...there are no good shops in the area that I would trust.

I would do it myself, but honestly, I'm not that mechanically inclined I change my own oil, but thats about it. I feel like I would probably mess something up if I tried to do it on my own.

if you can change your oil, you can do it. Just make sure right type of fluid is used. it is super easy. Took me about 30 min to do mine. if you got questions just let me know.

http://evoscan.com/vehicle-manuals

Download the manual for the Evo X. It'll be a cluster**** of PDF files but they're all interlinked to each other, so when you click on something in 1 file, it will take you to the right file immediately.

Start off by looking for the PDF file titled "Index" and look for the scheduled maintenance section (or something similarly titled).

I feel you...I'm not much mechanically inclined myself but now that I have a 2nd vehicle & garage; I can take my time when wrenching on the Evo for upgrade/maintenance. I have the PDF service manual loaded onto my iPad...so if I get stuck, I can look up the info and get it done.

It helped me to take alot of pictures and pay careful attention to everything before I took it apart, to make it easier to put back together when finished.

But it feels good once you get the hang of it & you can do it yourself.

As Eric said there really isn't any good shops in the StL area unfortunately.... you could always tak it to Lou Fusz in Kirkwood or Jim Butler in South County.... But I really only recomend them for OEM Parts.... The guys at Jim Butler do fairly decent work but you'll pay way more than if you just man'ed up and did it yourself.... or got some StL peeps to help out. Most of the stl guys are on midwestevos.com

Check the how-to section. All the info is there, lots of threads including some with screenshots. Search 'Driveline Fluids' or something like that.

Transmission, ACD, Rear Diff. On my IX, I need a 24mm socket, 17mm, funnel, catch bucket for fluids and the new stuffs. The hardest part is getting the rear diff filled back up (if you don't get a fluid pump).
I've got some info/pics/details in my blog too:
