Damn man, rubbing salt in the wound. lol. That's GREAT you were able to get that car OTD at the price. To get that car at that price to start out with would have been a great price but to get it with tax, title, reg, and all that other stuff OTD is awesome. Hell, I want you to come and negotiate for me next time I'm in the market for a car.

To Mmacck: Don't worry brotha, another Evo X WILL come along. Just be ready to pounce on it if you feel good about it. Even if you have to put a refundable $500-1000 down on it pending inspection, you should do that to buy you some more time. Most important thing about these dealerships if a car is older, they do NOT want it on the lot (unless its an all used car dealership. lol) and once the years pass on the car and it's an older model, they want it even LESS. Be ready to negotiate hard, let them know you have the $$$ to buy, but most importantly, be ready to walk. Offer them a little under YOUR max price after negotiating and if they won't bite, give em your # and walk. I've done that so many times and before you get off the lot, they'll stop you or a few hours later they'll call you. This will not work 100% of the time and if a car is in HIGH demand, it probably won't work at all but since this particular car was on the lot for months and they reduced the price 3K already, they were itching to get rid of it.

So true ...I gave them my final offer, walked out and got the phone call a little later.. The total price also included my trade (BMW) which I was happy to get away from !, I would've been happy breaking even on that car. It definitely has some serious electrical issues and that car needed its own trust fund for regular maintenance lol.

Yes it had 42xx on the odometer. Unless they have 2 out there with the same specs lol. If u go to there website it shows the car is still there. Hmm... I originally went out there for a 2013 wicked white GSR base they had on the website but it was sold already that's when I saw the octane blue on the showroom floor. Either she was misinformed or they are pulling a bait and switch. I'll post pics of the car once I clean her up...it's been raining like its Seattle here in Chicago right now.

JH19059,

Lol, man I know exactly how you feel man. When I was in the market for my Evo, my car at the time (2001 Hyundai Sante Fe w/ 135,000 miles) was on it's last leg. The last 1.5 years leading up to buying my Evo, I had put new tires, new brake pads, new radiator, power steering, water pump, and all new pulleys/belts. Then the worst thing that can happen to a car happened . . . the f**king A/C went out. I live in PHOENIX, AZ. That's a death sentence man. I've had two friends who drove a Mercedes and a Benz and both of those guys said they would NEVER buy another one of those cars again, only lease them.
Anyway, Congrats again on the Evo man. Post some pics when you can. Do you have any future mods/upgrades you plan on doing to it?

Thanks Lando. Lease them is right !! LOL . The Bimmer was cool but it was starting to have strange issues. The warranty was u going to be up this April and i just said to heck with it. As of right now I'm going to leave it stock. I'm waiting to see what the new STI brings in for 2015. They're supposed to change it fro the Impreza platform. So we will see....

I saw that OB evo in the showroom when i took my GF's outlander for an oil change. It looked clean. I checked it out and it was a good deal for the person who bought it. If I ever get back into an evo it has to have the SL package. heated seats are soooooooo worth it , especially on days like today.
