(IL) Looking for someone that can flash me back to stock!

A little insight on my car....

Bought it with all stock parts on it but I assume the previous owner had some mods on it and had some type of reflash done on it. The car runs well but it does act up every now and again. I also am cursed with the P0125 code (Insufficient Coolant or w/e) and from what I read online it could be because the ecu was tampered with.

Anyone in the Chicago area that has the Evoscan or can recommend where I can take my evo to get it looked over? I only have a IX BOV on it and a Perrin intake and I plan to leave the performance aspect of the car alone for now so I was wondering if maybe someone can reflash me to the base tune to see if the check engine light will go away and if the car will run smoother overall.

MTevo05, we'd be happy to get you in for an inspection so that we can go over the car and determine what the issue is. You have a PM.

Hey Boostin.

First, sorry for thread Jacking, but I have the same request. I have a used 11 MR that came with an intake and a 3 port solenoid. I got a "too lean" code and removed the two modifications, but am not sure if there was a tune on the vehicle. Can you PM me for info?

Of course, we'd be happy to help!! Give us a call at the shop and we'll get you scheduled in for a Full Vehicle Inspection, where we can go over the car and determine what the cause is and get the lean code issue resolved.

Let us know if there is anything we can assist you with.

I messaged you on Facebook about it actually. I have a feeling the kid removed the tune prior to trading it it. Got a CEL with the mods but with the stock parts everything feels smooth. Wouldn't it run like crap if it was on a tune for solenoid and intake but all stock?

We got your message and sent you a response back on FB. It's hard to say for certain without having the car here for us to inspect, as there may be other codes/mechanical issues that we are unaware of, but it is possible that the car might have had a tune at one point.

Give us a call and we'll get you in so that we can take a look at your Evo and know for certain.
