Out of control projects?

What started as some mild spring upgrades is getting out of control. My Evo is basically Vishnu Stage 1 (3" turbo back exhaust and an XEDE) without the cam gears. I am also riding on some JIC coilovers and have upgraded my brake pads.

My original plan was an XEDE Flash and firmware update. And sending my coilovers to RRE for suspension tuning (I was told to expect new springs, valving, a swaybar, bushings and possibly more). And installing my stainless steel clutch and brake lines.

I'm still doing that, plus JUN 264 cams, cam gears, a K&N Intake and a fully ported head. I will also need to replace the injectors and fuel pump. On top of all that, I expect to have to replace a clutch sometime this summer and still need new summer tires. And I've been thinking "As long as everything else is apart, why not just do the turbo, too?"

I'm starting to feel like an adict. My car will be down for almost a month total, and I will be living in my garage. While all of these mods and more are part of my long term plan, I wasn't planning on going past the cam this spring. Anyone else finding this car just eats upgrades and begs for more?

Glad to gear I'm not the only one. I'm a long time car guy who's spent plenty of time wrenching. I've even done some ice racing, autocross, track days, etc.

Piles of parts are nothing new to me, but with my other cars the engine has gone stock to built in one step, or I've just addad parts slowly. The Evo seems to be a member of the "upgrade of the month" club.

TRACK WHEELS! R COMPOUNDS! Oh well, guess the ported head will need to wait; still replacing the cams and valve springs.

Hi My name is Mike and Im a mod addict, its been 1 day since my last mod. To tell you the truth I had a speed craving so I purchased 2 mods. Thank you to all my supporters on this forum who will try and see me through this horrible disease, I do not see any improvement on my addiction. Thats all for now.
