why wingless?

So I know people like the evo without the wing I personally like the wing. With that being said I have noticed at the last couple of car shows/hang outs I have gone to car with the wing removed but still have the holes in the trunk for it. WHY. I think it looks stupid to have holes in your trunk just because you dont like the wing, and also if you dont like they wing why did you buy a car with it. If you are going to remove it buy a new trunk so it doesn't look bad. Just my opinion. Anyone want to explain why this seems to be a trend.

I swapped somebody to go wingless. After a few weeks I decided that the wing does make the car look more aggressive. But not as clean. I swapped back for the wing.

Don't want to pretend to be a lexus, besides how often in your life are you going to be able to rock a massive wing on your car and not look like total rice?

Only the EVO and the STI.

+1. I went from a 2010 wingless X to a 2013 X with the high wing. Personally I like the wing, but sometimes its nice to use your rear window

After you drive the car for a while, the rear wing kind of disappears from view, i.e. you tend not to notice it as much anymore.

Maybe they switch back and forth, I know I do. I use white electrical tape to hide the holes.

If wing-delete option were available it would make the decision much easier.

I love the Evo X wing. It looks kind of plain without it!

Wingless looks way better IMO. But if you have holes then I prefer to keep the wing on.

I guess everyone has their taste about wingless , oem wing , aftermarket wing.

But i fully agree on one thing.. if you are going to go wingless do it right.

Don't leave the ugly *** holes and cover them with caps.

Having a Evo without a wing is just wrong. I mean come on, if you take the venom out of a snake then you have.....well a belt

When I bought my Nismo 350Z to complement the new EVO I read a review that said "it comes with a wing that only an EVO would love" I turned to my EVO parked next to it and gave it a hug.

True story.

really cause last i checked the 08 (first year of the MR) came with the wing, and some 2010+ MR's still do, and just about all GSR's come with the wing

I went wingless, so I don't attract attention.
