Quick question bout TC-SST
Greetings guys! I drive an '06 Civic Coupe EX 5MT, and hope very much to be an Evo owner someday.
I am a dedicated stick driver, but I see the writing on the wall. I'll miss the clutch pedal when we all go automated dual clutch manual, but what I want to know is, does the transmission ever shift on its own when not in auto mode? Or will the engine just hit the rev limiter indefinitely until you shift? This is my only fear about these new fangled things
If that's how it goes, I will definitely have the Evo X MR (or the Lancer Ralliart, meh) at the top of my next car list.
Thanks for your info!

So in manual mode, besides cracking off shifts quicker, it shouldn't be a whole lot different in the city...
I figured it would act like a DSG from VW/Audi. With a DSG, if you go a little beyond redline, it will upshift for you. So, you're saying that the TC-SST just bounces off the rev-limiter all day long without ever shifting? That's badass
