Isn't the dynopack measured at the hubs vs wheels? Just saying.

Quite true but with the correction factors plugged in I'm told (by the owner of the dyno) that the numbers were equivalent with local wheel driven dyno's. I had the e85 setup on a local DYNOmite wheel driven dyno and the Dynopack was was 5awhp and 10lbft optimistic (370.4awhp/392.3lbft) compared to the DYNOmite (364.6awhp/384.8lbft) respectively.

Perhaps a better comparison of real wold power is 1/4mi terminal speed, 108mph on 91, 112mph on e85

Yah I usually don't trust corrected factors :-/. Dyno owners will usually do anything to justify their dyno vs others. One of the reasons I like the dynojet, there is no correction factor. Mustang (uncorrected) and dynojet #'s are the ones I usually trust. Either way, it goes without saying that a dyno number means nothing, it's only a tool to measure gains and to tune on. It isn't a **** measuring contest. But 340 seems extremely high for those mods when most bases are around 240wheel. Either the dyno is either off by quite a bit compared to other base numbers or the tune is ultra aggressive, in which I doubt it will last very long.

But this brings up an interesting point with the 1/4 mile. How does one measure 1/4 and 0-60 on an MR... do you launch it? Do you do it from a roll? Do you do it from a complete stop?

0-60 times can be measured by the cobb accessport and so can the quarter mile and 60 foot. I imagine the 0-60 6imes and 60 foot measures are pretty accurate, I dont know about the quarter mile though

Well my real question is how do you do a 0-60 in the mr. Launch, or roll, or from stop then gas it.

Can always measure with a video cam

launch it, thats what will make you get the fastest times! i clocked 4.25 in the 0-60. s-sport mode, hold traction control till completely off (2 seconds), stomp on brake, floor gas at the same time, revs will hold at 5500 and let go of brake and enjoy

1/4 and 60ft times are measured at the drag strip using launch control from a standing start, just punching it from a standing start (without launch control) usually yields about a 2.2 - 2.4 60ft, still faster than it "feels". I have never measured 0-60mph, although I have an AP I don't trust it for an accurate measure of acceleration so have never bothered.

Dynojet certainly uses correction factors, I have used the Dynojet over the years on my 2 wheel drive cars and the SAE correction numbers differ each time the manufacture updates their software.

My basis, if I remember correctly, on the DYNOmite is stock 255 hp, and close to 295 hp with a pro tune, 330 hp with TBE+testpipe so about +35hp and 6mph (108-102) in 1/4mi trap speed due to TBE and test pipe alone. My car runs strong but it is no freak, my results can be safely replicated by most anybody with a healthy evoX.

FWIW, I have abused my car by running it WFO right to the redline (and sometimes the rev limiter) from the get go with only 20mi on the clock, been running the present tune since 2000 mi. I now have over 25,000 Daily miles on the clock with multiple drag strip launches thrown in and the car looks runs like new.
