2012 mr

Anyone with an mr. Im curious when my trans down shifts i seem to get a not so smooth condition from time to time this seems to happen with my foot off the accelerator and coasting to a stop usualy going from 4 to 3 and sometimes from 2nd to 1st the car has a jerky feel just curious if this is normal with other mr owners. Up shifts are smooth as butter.100%stock 7000 miles

are you in supersport mode? it is how it is supposed to work. if you are in the regular mode, then it should downshift smoothly. besides, it is not a sluchbox but a dct or tc-sst

Normal drive mode , ss manual is ok as well as sport mode manual, only in normal drive mode seems clunky sometimes when down shifting in slower speeds, I came from a gsr 08 so the twin clutch is new to me .

It does this occasionally, yes. The Ralliart community has spent heaps of time testing different ECU tuning variations aimed at SST management, and we found this coast-down behaviour gets more or less pronounced depending on table edits, etc.

We also found "clicks and clunks" can occur... again, more or less based on tuning.

Sound like the factory tune isn't immune.

If it's harsh or disruptive, though, take it back to the dealer for a check-up.

Thanks for the input, I had a small leak 2 weeks ago and they replaced the trans cover and fluid as it was leaking from an improperly torqued bolt on the plastic cover,,I assume it was cracked from improper torque .

Thanks Rich
