When I'm driving in manual mode on my fq 300 sst and moving off in first gear I can see rev count moving up and it also happens when I'm driving in third gear it keeps rev up and down and you can feel the reving in an unstable way. I'm clueless as to what is happening help me please.

 

If it does it in 5th, as well, then your 1-3-5 clutch is slipping, maybe due to low pressure (e.g., that line needs to be bled) or something with the plates, themselves. 5th should be the worst of the three, in fact, if my theory holds up.

 

I haven't noticed it in 5th. It's just slightly in 1st and a lot in third. Before I bought the car I was told that the transmission was being serviced. So I was hoping I wouldn't encounter any problems. But this has me stressed out as to what is happening.

 

Floor it in 5th. Those are the data we need.

 

Ok I will do that and see what happens and let you know. I'm wondering if i change the tranny fluid it will change for the better

 

Transmission fluid would affect the even-numbered gears, as well.

 

So do you suggest changing the fluid and all should be well
