Sst cooler fluid flow direction !?

Does the hot transmission fluid enter the cooler at the top like a typical car radiator would or does the hot enter the bottom of the cooler (like some Hondas) ? I inspected the Mitsubishi tc-sst repair manual and it does not indicate flow direction.

Does anyone know !?
If your measuring your TC-SST temperature it should be BEFORE the cooler.
I am unsure which hose is HOT and which is POST cooler !?

Hot fluid "should" enter the bottom of the cooler and exit the top, but it doesn't always work that way. You could always pull a hose off and check...

You are correct. Mike from road race engineering was kind enough to answer this for me. Pulling a hose off would have been a messy situation. The bypass also would have made this a hit or miss, but I greatly appreciate your response..

The housing is also marked IN and OUT. You can read it with a mirror on the car. The cooler hoses will show a delay in temperature rise until 77C, give or take a few.

This is expected due to the bypass I understand. I am more interested in overheating on the track. If the temp isn't reading 150F then I also know the clutch packs are not up to temp. I had no idea if was actually labelled. Knowing the hot fluid goes into the bottom of the cooler was the key thing since that is the boss I trigger the fan off of and now also read the temp. Thanks!
