P1590 and U0101 codes
P1590 and U0101 codes
Putting this info here to help other fellow TC-SST owners + all other info is aged, and the thread starters don't bother to return and update how they resolved their issue.
A few weeks ago I was driving my MR and accidentally hit the shifter into neutral, I was traveling no more than 45 MPH. I shifted back into "D" and the engine revved high, the "transmission overheating" warning light flashed once and then it went away. From there no gear would engage. I coasted the car, tried to re-start, tried to go into reverse, tried normal/sport/s-sport mode nothing. No lights came were present in the cluster. I towed the car back home and left it sitting for a few days while I searched for info around google, forums, youtube. + I was mentally preparing for the worst possible outcome lol
I checked every connection, fuses, relays, checked for possible tranny fluid leaks. All checked ok. A friend stopped by to pull the codes through evoscan, P1590 & U0101 finally popped up.

It directed me to a possible issue where the ecu might have tripped the transmission into limp mode. I began to look into a "re-teach" for the sst, but i didn't have the software or knowledge on how to upload. I watched multiple videos but many were dull and nondescriptive. Luckily, around the same time, this YouTuber uploaded detailed instructions on how to obtain the software, download files, convert, and perform the re-teach.
The re-teach fixed my issue, everything went back to normal, and the shifts feel crisp. Hopefully, this steers someone in the right direction. You can message me, or DM my IG chinoxmk22
