DCTF options

So im purchasing my 1st set of DCTF oil for my 14 MR and my search on the forum as discovered no one is ever sure of which DCTF to use

DiaQueen which is like $200 for 4 litres

Redline, AMSoil, or Motul all of which is significantly cheaper in comparison. about 8 litres for $160

Since i live in the US and the castrol transmax isnt available, im left with picking from the later.

Most posts i see, people are scared (as they should be) to use anything except diaqueen. I would have to pay to ship it as the dealer is charging close to $250 a container.

as for the the other 3, I noticed Jack Transmissions seemed to go exclusively with Motul which is great because i hear Jack is amazing with SST transmissions.

So at this point I'm stuck thinking that its too good to be true or im so behind in advancement, that Motul is the right way to go based on Jack Transmissions imo.

Literally every single thread says the same thing. Use ONLY the OEM fluid. You can order it with the filter from Kozmic. No one is "scared" to use other fluid. Other fluids seem to almost Always cause problems and you spend way more then $40 you saved by using the wrong fluid.

Kozmic has the filter for $35, and they don't have the fluid on their site anymore but I'm sure you can call to order it, or you can get ti from ExtremePSI for $196 for a 4L jug.

I believe Castrol Transmax DCT fluid is repackaged as OEM Diaqueen. After seeing and smelling Diaqueen SST fluid and Castrol Transmax I can attest that they are similar.

I put Castrol Transmax into a Built Kozmic SST and if IIRC the transmission saw more than 20 pulls with no issues.

Opieoils is where I believe you can purchase it. UK distributor and they will ship to the US.

Its also recommended to do a teach-in for the SST after every fluid change.

So im prepping for the SST fluid change and also rear diff & AYC fluid changes.

I was only able to purchase GL-5 gear oil for the differential and of course some diaqueen fluid for the Transmission.

Will any SP III fluid work to replace the AYC fluids since i cant find any Mitsubishi ATF SP III local?

I'm trying to complete all the changes tomorrow.
