I love the XP-8 when I'm running street tires. And the XP-10 or XP-12 is a good match for R-comps. BTW, I have used PF 97's. They're very similar to the XP-10 in performance. However, they generate terrible, sticky, and highly corrosive dust that has ruined a set of wheels

They do dust quite a bit...but the dust is easy to wash off. With XP-8's and 9's it's no problem at all. With XP-10's and up, the dust does seem a bit corrosive. But nowhere near as bad as PF-97's.

I have wiped off the PF01 dust at the end of the day, and the finish on my SSR comps looks great. I only have 2 track days with them though, and I will be sure to continue to clean off the dust in a timely manner I wonder if the PF01s have the same formulation as the PF97s regarding corrisive dust??
The difference I have noticed between the PF01s and the XP12s is a bit more initial bite with the PF01s, while the XP12s were a bit easier to modulate. Both held up extremely well to the heat. My guess is the PF01s would wear the rotors a bit faster-they bed in so quickly, it seems like they bite more deeply-just my guess , though? Both great pads overall in my experience
