Tranny Fluid
Right, so then what the hell is the "best" transfluid that is GL4. I am getting a little frustrated because i search and read and so on but i just want to know what you track junkies are using and why.

I got 12 track days on my 5-spd. All of them have been with using Pennzoil Synchromesh.
well, i adhere to the 25 minute rule, not as much as i should, but enough. If i run 20-25 min, i come in for 10-15 at least, normally 20, and crank the fan at the oil cooler and the radiator for like 5 min, then just let it run, blowing air under the car, and then, head out again.
Open run groups = heaven.
Flushed the stuff after 12 events, and after the next 1 or 2, i'll do it again.
and trust me, if you've seen any of my vids, you know i don't baby the car

I've been too busy to get the mounts made for my cooler and I'll be busy at 25hrs of Thunderhill this weekend so it will be another sans cooler event on the 11th.

Well I have been using Penzoil Syncromesh for street duty for the past 15k and loving it. I just swapped to BG syncroshift (2 qts) and Redline MT-90 (1 qt) and I do NOT like it. The shifting is not as smooth as the Syncromesh and when it is cold it is even worse.
I want to take my car to the track and I am wondering if the Syncromesh can take the track abuse.
I also tried to find the psecs on the Syncromesh and could not find much more than this

Any info on the weight and GL spec of the Syncromesh?

i've got 6 track days on the syncromesh. working fine. with the oem, i had horrible grinds from the 4th to 5th gear change under load. as soon as i changed it it has completely gone away. i've got about 15k with the syncromesh now... i'll probably be doing a complete engine flush here in the next few weeks. dffs, engine oil, tranny and brake again.

Thanks for the update about its track performance. Anyone else can update this thread with their Synchromesh track impressions?
