carbotech xp-10
track only pad
great bite, great pedal feel, great wear. look into them.
(with motul 600 and stainless lines)
i saw no change in braking performance after 2 track days, and i ran 2x20 minute sessions back to back, no cooldown lap.

The Hawk HP+ is NOT a track pad by any stretch of the imagination. It's more of a street pad for heavy cars. If that's your frame of reference, you will find that almost anything is better. Try a real track/race pad and feel the difference. If you're dying to use a Hawk product, maybe try the HT-10 compound.

PF97's are certainly very easy on rotors. However, the sticky, corrosive dust will destroy your wheels (and even your paint) unless you're religious about cleaning it off (preferably after each session). I'm a huge fan of Carbotech XP-10's with R-comps and XP-9's with street tires. Similar in performance to HT-10 and PF97 (respectively) without the corrosive dust.

The Hawk Ceramics are for low dust/noise - so you got some mis-information on those.

HP+ are perhaps acceptable for your first event - or if you are not a super hard braker - or on less than sticky tires. They can fade pretty easily if you are much past any of that.

I've sold them all - here is wha tMarty Grand said

PFC's - (01/97) - Helacious bite - grooved the rotors and somewhat on/off
DTC 70/60 - Less bite than 01's - easier to modulate - easier on rotors

My experience w/Blues is that they can take more than 1000 deg - I used some temp. [aint on my rotors which indicated rotor temps of over 1250 - dunno about the pads but they weren't fading - and I had minimal rotor wear other than cracking.

my 2 cents
