I did mid 2.08 on 13A CCW, and 2.07 on 13 CW...Street tires, stock camber.

I need more money, pesky s2000 pulled a 1:57 on Sunday.

I ran red group (race group) and some last gen M3 guy wouldn't let me pass. I was right on his *** off magic mountain, setting up for riverside (high speed sweeper), he went outside, I went inside. He, apparently, didn't expect me, lifted off the gas and went spinning off the track. He came in to the pits PISSSSSED...blaming me!...He musta had 5 pounds of dirt in his car...It was full race conditions, and he was blaming me cause he panicked and let off the gas...lol...I didn't say anything, I just explained what I was thinking and let him feel vindicated by offering my apologies.

If ya'll know any rich folks that want to adopt a 37 year old juvenile deliquent with a bad track addiction, please let me know.

Just a heads up -- I heard Drew telling Aaron about this incident, and that's not the story Drew told. He made it sound like it was your fault. Did anyone from SV talk to you about it?

Nice times, but I can't adopt you. I need my $$$ for MY track cars.

Ya, I heard that story too. It was predicated on the false theory that I was in a four-wheel drift around that corner, and I tracked out to such a degree that collision was imminent. This is untrue. I am not a drifter, I don't like to drift, and I didn't drift. Although people do drift a bit in riverside, they don't drift 20 feet across the track...M3 guy was being a jackass and wouldn't let me pass, therefore, race rules apply. His case was that he didn't point me bye, which further weakens his argument. If you aren't pointing bye, and you aren't getting over, expect to get passed in red run group. He didn't, he lifted, he went off track...I took the high road and conceded my theoretical error, just to assuage his bent ego and dirt filled M3...lol

I heard rendition #2, and it was just that, #2 (excrement)...Full race conditions are full race conditions...Can't stand the heat? Get outta the kitchen.

Good hanging with you Richard...BTW, get a real car, something other than that chick miata...(just playing).

I've never driven buttonwillow, but it seems I like Chris's line much more, is your car just that much more powerful than his?

His story that he didn't point you by is nonsense. You were running in red group, which is race simulated conditions with passing anywhere on track, no point by required. So that's probably why you didn't get a hard time from SV, you were within your rights.

I do have a "real car." A basically race-prepped EVO with 439 all wheel hp and 383 all wheel torque. Unfortunately, it keeps exploding like an IED in Baghdad. At least I can get out to the track whenever I want in the chick car.

Ya, I think Chris pulled one of my worst lines to prove how his line was superior to mine ...Trust me, that wasn't the line that was netting me low numbers -- I usually don't run over cones.

My car has full exhaust and Dynoflash, no more.

Thanks counselor! Let's sue him for defamation of character. Do you work on contingency?

A big problem here....
What are "race simulated conditions"? You are either racing, or you are not. Last I checked Speedventures does not have a race group. It's always, always better to back off when people might do something silly, or pull through the hot pits and get some space. I had two mustangs blocking me BADLY at the last NASA TT, and it was frustrating, but..better safe than sorry.

Red group is relatively no holds barred, competitive environment. For all intents and purposes it is a race, except obviously you are not going for standings or qualfications. This is pretty much how it is explained at the morning driver's meeting, in fact participants are warned that those who are slowing down other drivers should bow down courteously.

The description Aaron gives at the driver's meeting of Red Group is that it is "simulated race conditions" with "passing anywhere on track without a point-by." However, he says no "dive bombing, stealing apexes or out braking" other drivers, for safety reasons.

Those are the instructions. I don't run in Red with Speed Ventures (although I do run in the Advanced group with some other event organizers such as Redline Track Events and Open Track Racing), so I can't really say what it's like out there.

most of us in that group know and trust each other.. there are plenty of people that i would go door to door with out even worrying.. but if i see someone i dont know who is driving like ****.. its not worth it.. they can just as easily destroy your car also.

lets say the dude went off and whipped back across the track right into your door. would you care whos fault it was? you would be here posting about how your didnt do anything wrong while left with no car and no recourse to get it back.
