1st place at Austin Spokes AutoX 7/13
Just got back from Frank Mayborn Conevtion Center in Temple, TX with a nice 1st place trophy in my hands. Granted it was first place novice class, but it's first place! I won by almost 2 seconds after the PAX. 
If I were running AS I would've taken 1st place. But then again, if the other two STi's there were running AS they would've beaten me. STi's took 1st in AS, SM, and Tire class. WRX's had the top two PAX of the day with an STi in 4th. I guess it was just a Scooby course.

Those are the stock wheels with Kumho Ecsta MX (stock size). Once I can afford it I'll probably get race rubber and new wheels.
Any pointers? Well I'm no expert, but definitely get rides with other people, try to figure out the course, what they're doing, etc. It usually helps to ride with a good driver then.
And everyone always says to look ahead when you're driving.
