I found a link with a few pics from Saturday.

Haha, thank you. I believe Redline should have a Rig Class as well. Our Factor X spec Volvo 670 Rig (True FX500
) set the bar for future events. I saw Skunk 2, GST, and at least 1 more rig there that weekend... We already have another class!
Verena and Henry Shelley were in the drift class which ran in the street tire sessions. This was the first event Redline had a drift-specific class. Talking to Nick and Chris, they plan on making a little more noise about the class to get more entrants to grow the class in the future.

I call BS on this one!
I wanted to enter my 31" motorhome against you but I got shut down.....
BTW, it looked like you were lofting that front right wheel entering the bustop on your 2nd lap, get any pics?
BTW #2, how do you corner balance that thing?
You need 10 scale pads. I was trying to get more front camber out of the front, I think we need a big hammer to bend the lower solid axle to achieve this...
Modified AWD:
1st = Deiter Heinz - Robispec Evo - 1:56.423
2nd = JC Maynet - Harmon Motive STI - 1:56.645
3rd = Lawrence Loshak - AMS Evo - 1:58.954
1st = Deiter Heinz - Robispec Evo - 1:56.423
2nd = JC Maynet - Harmon Motive STI - 1:56.645
3rd = Lawrence Loshak - AMS Evo - 1:58.954
The car is a 2006 EVO IX MR. It has 4500 miles on it. Stock motor, stock turbo, stock cams, stock uicp, stock......
The only mods done to the car were:
AMS lower cross brace with solid mount
AMS moustache eliminator
AMS small battery kit
AMS brake master cyl brace
AMS TBE w/ high flow cat (also ran in mod)
AMS Brake Duct kit (over 380 miles on 1 set of pads and rotors this weekend!)
AMS MBC
Other great products provided by AMS:
AIM laptimer (awesome and stupid EZ to use & hookup)
AEM Gauges (A/F, Boost)
255lph fuel pump
Car was fully gutted by me (as allowed by the rules for street) 2 nights prior the event.
As for suspension, my cousin had his car ROBISPEC'D last year with variant 2 KW's and Robi's begginer/conservative alignment. It wasnt too bad on the Mod tires, but I just couldn't get the car from understeering and overheating the front left tire with these settings. My best time in street was a low 2:03, no matter what I tried to do. I decided it was best to leave the settings be, as it wasnt my car, so I did the best I could and had a blast (except on the straights watching cars I caught in the esses just pull 5-6 car lengths on me by corner 1 - nothing a AMS turbo kit cant fix).
Special thanks to Martin and everyone at AMS and to my cousin, Dimitry, for flying my *** out there and letting me drive his car.

Another great Redline Time Attack event in the books! Thanks to everyone who came out and ran in the event and to those of you who came out to watch and mingle.
JC's just rippin it up out there! I'm anxious to see JC and Nils go at it up in Utah and at California Speedway! Should be a VERY tight battle. The "new guys" were doing well too, and we saw other folks who've been Time Attacking for a while continue to drop their lap times more and more.
Results will be up on our site tonight. You can expect results from future events to be posted on our site directly following the completion of the event. This event we were unexpectedly short staffed (Chris' wife had a death in the family and had to leave early Saturday, we had a new Timing & Scoring guy in the booth I had to train, etc.)
Next, we'll be heading out to St Louis, so I hope some of you Mid West guys can make the event. JC... is it true what I heard, you might be heading out there? ;-)

In mod I used 245/40/17's KUMHO and in street they were 255/40/17 REO1R'S. mY cuz wasnt too sure if he wanted to flair his fenders and I didnt want to deal with tire rub.
Speaking of awesome times, great job!
Yeah, 1 car, 2 drivers, 2 classes, 1 of which (me) drove 2 classes + saturday= ~400mi of Buttonwillow in one weekend. I changed tires more times this weekend than I care to for the rest of the year!
And because we were both in street and he was mid-pack being a newb, is why I never could get to grid on time for mod. But Chris and the entire redline crew were very helpful.
Now whose coming to Gateway?

Congrats.
A special congratulations to JC on schooling all of us in Street AWD and Street Overall. As a first timer to the time attack format I have nothing but great things to say about all of the competition. Unfortunately, since we were trying to figure our car out, I didn't have much time to mingle and meet new faces.
Our whole crew had a great time and we feel very lucky to come away with a second place finish in Street AWD and a 4th overall in a car that I drive to work everyday, play at the dragstrip with and drive to Vegas at least once a year. I have a feeling that the hook is set, so I will hopefully get to meet a few more of you at the later events.
I also want to say a special thank you and congratulations to Robert Fuller. His KW's and general information made our weekend a pleasure and all in all, his cars kicked butt.
See ya soon,

You know it. Fpgreen, built 2.0l, autronic EMS and suspension guru robispec. We're untouchable even if you have fully built STI on 35R. Busting yours ***** JC. lol

There is no shame in being beaten by such a worthy driver/car/tuner/etc like you guys! (esp by only .2 tenths while in my street class car
)
Congrats to all of you on your win, you earned it and deserve it!
Every one was great and it's such a friendly and helpful environment even across brands and classes. I look forward to many battles with all of you in the future.
BTW, I was always under the impression that you EVO guys were a bunch of un-evolved neanderthal monkeys with poor personal hygiene who couldnt drive and had zero social skills, but I was wrong. Dieter can actually drive..... (ball busting returned....
)
