Is o2 dump too loud for track days?

I just signed up for a DE at Barber Motorsports Park & just started wondering if I'm going to run into noise issues because of my open dump o2 housing. I hope to be doing a few of these track days a year at diffrent tracks. Just wondering if anyone knows if they will kick me off the track for being too loud. I have a feeling it may be a problem, but wanted to get some feedback.

funny you should mention that. I've never heard the sound of an open dump on a street car. I was gonna go open dump.

I love it, but it's very loud. I've already been thinking about getting too much unwanted atention because of it so it may be on the chopping block anyway. It's only loud when at full boost, but I can't stay out of full boost.

Depends on the DE. Some places are pretty tight while others will let you run open headers and give you a big thumbs up as you drive past for doing it.

That's what I was thinking. Now the question is do I risk getting kicked off the track after paying for a whole weekend or do I just put a standard o2 housing on the car? Damn this sucks. I wish I'd have thought about that earlier.

Call the folks who are running the DE and ask. Call the track or go to their website and look and see what the DB limit rules are.

Would an open dump on the stock turbo be as loud as an upgraded snail? Like a 35R or something?

really shouldn't be. I run a cutout just after the DP and that is LOUD. I certainly don't think its too loud though. I can still hear the engine and the R888's low-key "chuff" as I push them to their threshold.
