Your boss wouldn't happen to be you Dad would he? Tell him to stop being a poseur and if he really races, come race with you, and USE parts all day

You should be thinking about modding, and in this order.
Tires
Suspension
Wheels

Beyond that, your harness and seat concerns are justifiable. Got an air tank? Got a GOOD tire pressure gauge, jack, stands, sprayer, even a electric drill or impact gun if you need to change wheels and tires? Got a mount for your cam? If that's not anough to keep you occupied for awhile, you need to read some books and/or another hobby and/or some help.

what do you guys suggest for coilovers? i was looking at the megan track series and BC but dont know a ton about spring rate or what im looking for in a mid - good setup. (other then price and what the big boys run)
That's why I mentioned to go mid priced coil-overs, if you go low-end you will most likely have to buy again and need to reset up the car, plus they will probably ride poorly and have limited droop.

Go with single or double adj Ohlins, Bilsteins, Konis, KWs, ASTs, etc.

For most people without the sickness, those all would be considered higher than just mid-level. AST singles are GREAT, but over 2k, KW's are ok but the doubles are probably over the head of a newbie to set-up. bilstiens are too soft. konis are good, but pricey for what you get. ohlins, we all know about ohlins, lol.

Take a look at stance, theres been allot of grassroots type guys doing really well on their stuff, and its not any more expensive than megan.

Weren't there some PIC coilovers out awhile ago that were meant to be pretty good for the money?

And I still stand by my bushings - worth it and cheap! And don't forget the camber plates too
