Yeah friend, my oil temps are down as well..............considering the car hasn't been on track in over one year... ! Hope all is OK .

Back on topic, I regularly see oil temps of 275 - 280 on my IX. Using Mobil 1 10/30 and all stock oiling/cooling.

ams oilpan with updated pick up... accusump 2/3 quart with manual valve located less than 3 feet from motor... over size setrab oil cooler with electric fan on it... motor oil... anything full synthetic 20/50 ish.....

oh yea.. and if ur running a red (best turbo in world btw)... oil feed it from the oil filter housing for consistant high oil pressure... the cartridge bearing needs it.

ofcourse a custom dry sump system from AMS would be the ultimate solution...

anything else?

I'm running AMSoil 10w30 'Dominator' oil.
I have an oil temp gauge that I'm going to have hooked up for this year to monitor as well.

I have warning and peak recall on my STRi gauges. I don't currently log them but I'm wondering if I should just to see? It'll be pretty difficult to check the oil pressure during sweepers!
So I believe I have my logging plan - planned out.

I'm planning on data logging through Traqmate this year. From what I understand, I just need to buy an adapter that'll plug into the main unit and then I can just run wires from the gauges I already have in the dash. I'm not sure if I have to baseline the data or not, but that should be my only real trick. Here's a quick screenshot of a friend that is doing this already. It's not an Evo and he hasn't baselined in this example, but you get an idea at least. I'll include lateral G with oil pressure:

^^ Note that solid red line is something user set. Should be pretty helpful to have ALL that data together with the GPS of the track to see what's happening in specific turns.

I had to look twice to make sure that wasn't an evo . But i'm gearing for the same thing in one of the big GPS's. All-in-one with the usual suspects - oil p, oil t, water t, afr, egt, boost, mayhps one that pulls in analog and can use the zetronix.

Anyone using the AMS Oil Cooler kit? If so, how much cooler are you oil temps compared to the stock unit?

A quick update on my car.

I had AMS hook up my Oil Pressure gauge earlier this month. I plan to log that, Oil Temp and Boost - which are the only 3 gauges I currently have - through my Traqmate.
I've read up on it and it seems simple enough...we'll see.

Depending on that readings I get, I'll go from there with potential upgrades.

Was looking into the AMS pan myself, along with the Cosworth scraper. Seen some JDM pan mods also. Anybody use any of these products? JUN, etc??

I'm done worrying about this. I plan to run mine till it blows up or dies of old age.

If anyone has used Traqmate to monitor existing gauges, please let me know.
Looking for any install tips you've got!

I tapped into the factory oil pressure switch, and plan on logging that. I just need to hook it up to Traqmate. I might give it a whirl in the next few days to see if it works.

I'm running the AMS dry sump and the oil temp will not go any higher than 80c.

This is with full undertray and both front bumper vents blocked off, having major problems getting heat into it. Running a 71c thermostat so will change that back to the standard one and see what happens.
