It's 1:AM Thursday morning here and had a pretty good day at Eastern Creek and it seems that “Christine” loves this track . It is a pretty technical track with a excellent surface. The Australian cars that are here so far are very well prepared and the fans are absolutely the most friendly we have ever met. Though I’d be able to post some in-car from our first day but it seems that we forgot to turn the cameras on. So I will make sure that we get some in-car from today and get them posted tonight.

Yeah.... certainly not cheap to ship and car and team across the Pacific. Rado was trying to get the AWD monster going, but it really should have a shakedown run before entering an event like this.

As for FXMD, I seem to recall they had some issues at the last Redline Time Attack. Again, don't want to ship a car and team that far only to have car issues and not be able to run.

Purely speculation on my part, but I wouldn't do it unless I knew the car was absolutely bulletproof. Otherwise, they'd be throwing away thousands of dollars, easily over 10k for just shipping the car, airfare, hotel, entry fee, food, etc.

^Couldn't agree more on what you just posted.

Granted, things break. But to travel across the world to compete on a international level and succeed is going to be some major bragging rights for some of the people involved

Heading out to the track for practice today.

Lowly evo 7, she's as ready as my tiny budget can get her this weekend. It's really a case of evos to beat on every class though. Should be great, I will post pics tonight.

Session one just ended and top laptimes are like so:

1: Sierra Sierra Evo: 1:32.2480

2: Tomei Cusco Team Tarzan Impreza: 1.33.4080

3: R-Magic RX7: 1.33.5050

4: Pan Speed RX7: 1.33.6540

Both the Hi Octane R34 and Cyber Evo didn't set times. The Evo still has it's engine head off and we're told the team had to pull an all nighter last night... Nasty!

Smile

Looks like the Sierra Sierra Evo is representing US and taking the top spot.

SSE is at the top of the time sheet after the first day. Panspeed RX7 is close behind. Sounds like the Cyber Evo had a lot of repair work to do after the cam snapped....
