My tuner also told me to put a couple gallons of race fuel when I go to the track.

a couple gallons of high octain is never a bad idea, but unless your tuner is a complete and total ra-tard, you should have NO problem turning the boost down as low as you like. heck, you could run off the wastegate and be safe.

that is a good idea, its not that you absolutely need a second map for less boost, but you should at least log it at the lower boost setting to make sure everything is still good/ nothing funky going on

Enuff talk - Time to shut up and play your guitar! Just a little Zappa thing......

Yup, a little race gas never hurts, brake fluid good and enough pad, then you'll know next time what you need to do.

Like I always say, the best way to mod is to let the car tell what it wants. Take a stock car (or what you have) and use it. If the car will want something different it will tell you, if it will want different pads, it will tell you, If it will want different tires it will tell you. Also, this is the most productive and cheapest way to mod + you will learn a lot more + you will become a better driver because of it.

I am willing to bet that for a first timer, the car will say: That's all you got? Bring it on.

And yes, even if you have 500hp and stock pads, the story will be the same.

Yea know your probably 100% correct! I would still like to probably be set up before I get there so I know I will pass tech inspection. My pads are low and my rears have camber wear otherwise a Honda Civic would have been sufficient. I am only concerned about doing things properly and safely!

Yes, as others have stated, make sure you have at least 1/2 pad thickness left on the pads or more and that the rotors are not close to their min thickness. Fresh fluid & flush and you are good to go!

If you are running the stock 6sp, think about changing out the fluid after the event. Definitely change it before the next track day weekend.
