are you doin the full bumper or just the air damn? are you running apr's splitter that is specific to the air damn?

im waiting to hear back from AMS in regards to a company called prototype composites, who built the splitter for their silver time attack car and i also think they did the one for ryan gates car. (they said the have an 8/9 mold on hand but ams is in charge of selling it)...looks VERY functional.

I had an "off road excursion" that ripped my old APR air dam off and damaged the front bumper. I'm replacing it with a full APR front bumper with integrated air dam. The splitter will be frame mounted, but yes its the APR splitter designed for use with their air dam.

Lol, yeah, I'll bug Agile today to see if they can take a few pics of the work in progress. Now that the bumper is back from paint etc. The bumper should be going on today, the LSD is being re-built with the 12-plate Weir Performance kit today as well. The new springs are installed already.

To be honest, you're not missing much at Lime Rock. There's not "lots of elevation changes", there's an uphill and a downhill. It's a one minute lap and there's not much runoff room. Oh, and the sound restriction is down to something mind bogglingly absurd like 87db. Not to mention it being crazy expensive to run there. I go because it's the closest track to me, but I wouldn't make any sort of long drive to do it more than once.

Oh right, I forgot about the sound restriction. That is insanely stupid. I didn't know it was expensive to run there though, interesting.

ill have to look into the noise restriction. i only have a cobb exhaust, but 87db would exclude anything but a stock evo basically.

its the closest track to me also (im in RI so its 2 hours away), was planning on running their march 31 with nasa and april 14 with emra, both are about 300 bucks for a one day hpde which seems normal?

I do remember there is a noise restriction there, I hadn't heard it had been dropped that low. I've never raced there, only watched Grand Am races. 300 bucks for a one day event is kind of pricey depending on how many sessions you get. NASA MidAtlantic is normally 3 sessions a day for 2 days for $300-350?

Got a few pics from the shop today... the bumper got picked up from paint, and will be going on the car tomorrow. Some pics of my dirty Volk RE30s over the new DBA rotors too. They'll send some new pics tomorrow.

Anything with a cat should be ok. Doesn't mean it will be.

$300 is on the high side of average nowadays I guess. NASA raised their prices this year. CART's LRP day is $350, but they don't have much buying power.

Check out NHMS with COM. I did it for the first time in the fall and loved it. Not the smoothest of tracks but it should be ~2.5 hours from you. Having a garage and other facilities is such a treat. I still recommend you go to Lime Rock, but it's got some demerits.

NASA northeast seems to have most events for like 325 a day, or 600 for 2 day events (hpde 1 at least, some other groups are a tad cheaper)...i wish it was cheaper.
