2013 STU Discussion!
1) For the O2 housing, the "ebay" one AFAIK is the Megan housing. I actually have one I bought from PPI that's already heat coated to keep underhood temps down. I ordered it for the DC Pro, last year, it didn't get here in time, and I decided to just stick with the one I had. PPI went out of business, but it's the same housing as this:

It was $228 shipped I think - I'd sell it for $150. It's not the white Swain coating though, it's a silver coating that I believe is equivalent.
2) I think it depends on the tires. From what John L told me, the Hankook RS3s really needed the 9.5s to come alive because they are not as stiff as the Z1s. For something like the Dunlops I don't think it's quite as important. I ran 9's most of the time last year. One of these days I'll try same day testing.
3) Depends how you use the car. It seems like everyone loves how the Ohlins ride. spool_sample, who sold me my Clubsports, had both on his Evo, and he said the Ohlins rode noticeably better but he liked the extra adjustability of the Clubsports for tweaking. So if you're dailying it, the Ohlins probably make more sense, but if it's an occasional use car the Motons might. Although who knows how Mueller valved them and whether it's right for autocross. Are they one of those companies that doesn't even tell you what spring rates are on there or am I thinking of RRE?
Yeah, more people need to try out STU cars. The combination of power, grip and low tire costs is pretty awesome. Sorry to see you leave the class.

The "eBay O2 Housing" and the Megan O2 housing probably come from the same place. Unless you get one of the super cheap ones on eBay, which are so cheap that you have to grind out the divider between the wastegate side and the main chamber.
ZII's installed, can't wait till this next weekend to try them out at an autox.

And my old RS-3's which saw about 1 season of autox (13-14 events, 1.25 mile or so runs at about 4-6 runs per event). They were still very grippy at our last event this last Sunday. I can't say how well they were doing since we had to cancel the event mid way through the 1st run group due to crazy high wind gusts.. but they seemed to still have everything they had when they were new.

I pre-ordered late December, and called them when I saw their Nevada distro had them in stock. Seems they were going to ship out of Indiana for me originally (not sure why, its farther and more expensive lol). Looking on their site now they still list that size, in stock in Reno as well.
So I had my 1st event today with the ZII's and overall I got to say as good as the RS3 if not better. The tires were pretty new (probably only 100 miles on them if that) so they really got a good scrub in today so they will probably be a bit faster in the future. Turn in was much better than with RS3's the car felt super nimble and traction was very very good. If I'd have to guess I'd say they were about .25 to .5 seconds faster than the RS3's in their current state (over 60ish second courses) I fully expect my times to drop a bit once I get more used to them and they break in some more. I also need to figure out the best pressures for them as well. Anyone got any tips for pressures that came from Z1's?
If you thought the ZII's were better after their very first event, wait until you get to the 3rd event on those tires. The Z1's took a couple of events to break in to max grip and seems like the ZII needs the same.
On the Z1's (and yes I know it's an STi, but front heavy AWD boost buggy similarity), we ran around 36f/32r IIRC with -3.2/-2.0 camber settings.

Sounds right to me as well, thats what I've been running (well 12k/16k) which is more like 670/900.
