putting 1.4s on the current SM national champ ain't too bad.

Just got my R1S's mounted up on some new rims. Wont get to test them for a few weeks yet. Very interested to see how these feel compared to the A6's.

Damn!

Compared to the Tour, is the difference in times related to setup or is it asphalt vs concrete? Curious if one is better on one surface and the other tire better on the other surface?

I think that site is asphalt as well.

I think it is a little bit of both. the SD surface is just terrible, and the CA speedway surface is a little better (both are aging asphalt). Its possible the Hoosiers work better in SD, but we've made improvements since then so our results from the tour are a little unfair.

I was talking 285/30/18 R1-S's, sorry. Too cheap to buy a brand new set to test, especially when I've got new 285 Hoosiers sitting here.

Well my A6's just fell off the cliff. Went from an under driving run of 64.5 to 66s to 68s. Fronts just gave up and went home. Time to order a set of R1s's in 285s today. Wondering if they'll even fit with my current roll/pull.

I really would not recommend the BFG's for a single driver car or for weather below 70 degrees. You will be throwing away seconds. Or for natl tours.

That being said, they will fit fine on 9.5" wheels. Bring lots of spacers. 10's or 10.5's are trickier.

My car is always dual driven on R-comps, and bagged on cooler days. Most event these days though I'm running street tires and save the r-comps for testing and big races.

I'm on 10" wheels, but have about a 3/4" pull up front and 1/2 in the back. R/Ts rear trailing links too so no rear spacer. If it doesn't fit right, Ill just have my guy come over and roll the fenders more .

Any advice on ballpark hot pressures? I'll dial it in on a skidpad but would be easier know where to start.
