Would have liked to have seen Mas podium but having Ros win is OK with me

Yeah, Ham did very well despite his starting grid pos. He said it himself, He may have missed his staging spot in pit lane by just inches

Great race & enjoyed it

Regarding Mercedes, seems like if they have an Achilles heel, it would have to be the rear brakes & their energy harvesting system (can you say Hot brakes)

Quote: I think Redbull must giving Vettel some reworked parts off of Webber's car from last season. Will be interesting to see how the Mercedes pairing progresses through the season.
So they're so far ahead of the field that, fortunately for us, I suspect they'll just let them race for wins the rest of the way - no Red Bull / Ferrari shenanigans.

Hami was in beast mode for the first couple laps. He jumped up the field quick. few more laps and he would have overtaken ros

quali was sick. didn't expect that last minute of q3 at all. hami will kick himself in the *** if he loose the WC because he lost pole yesterday. Rosberg was drafting and caught up to hami, so i think rosberg would still get pole but at least hami would have been in second place.

^ yeah, would have been a good fight between Hami and Ros towards the end if Ros didn't retire. Hami was catching up at a pretty good pace, not sure how much was due to tranny issues on Ros car. funny $hit between alonso and vettle. Hami would have gotten that pass done on one try. Ricardo started behind vettle but finished in front of him. weird. vettle might as well go to ferrari now, at least he'll have excuse there why he's slow.

Rosberg said the transmission started flaking out around lap 20, so I think a lot of Hamilton's relative pace was due to equipment.

I don't really understand what Vettel's crew was doing with the extra pit stop.

Entertaining race for sure. Yeah, heard Ros comments about a 4th gear down shift issue just before the failure. I didnt think too much of it as he was clicking off great lap times keeping the delta diff between him & Ham

Curious about the Kimi crash that took out Mas

In the 2014 car yes, but how about any of the cars in the previous 5 years since his championship year?

He's slow because he has a car that doesn't suit his driving style. You didn't think that Alonso was slow at McLaren when Hamilton was battling with him for the championship in his rookie year right, so why would you assume that Vettel is now?

For the record, I'm not a huge fan of Vettel.

The mclaren mp4-12c use a similar hydraulic system.

Great race overall. Sucks that Hami got another mechanical failure. He drove his *** off and was able to recover some good points. Ricardo vs Alonso was awesome.
