Looking to improve handling
You can simulate all you want but until you put your **** in the seat, not much will translate

it's no difference than learning something in a book before you go and practice it.
Many professionals use Gran Turismo and other simulators to practice.
Before driving a track, my only experience was simulators and the street. When I went to my first track day, no one could believe I had not been on a track before. This includes the instructors, all of which were professionals (Rally and ALMS), and the veteran drivers on the track.
I think a lot of rough technique and general concepts can be learned that way. The track is just much more about fine tuning and a higher level of precision. It's also a lot safer!

To any who might (still) be scoffing at the idea that professionals use simulators: http://www.redbull.com/cs/Satellite/...21242918507529

when i got onto an actual track, i felt very comfortable and had a jump on the other people that were riding with instructors at that time. i didn't have to learn every single thing there was to know and was able to relax a bit and focus on doing it properly. everyone is different, though.
I scoff
Comparing the high budget of an F1, hydraulically actuated sim to one of us playing GT are 2 different things
This thread has gone from, "Hey need some simple help improving my EVO susp" to playing video games to improve ones driving ability
Got to put your but* in the seat

Actually, this thread went from "I installed new coilovers but didn't get an alignment and I'm wondering why my car handles poorly" to "let's play video games." Your post suggests that the thread went downhill. I don't agree.
I'll just drop these here...

Solenoid: sims help, be it a $400 unit at home or $millions at a test facility. sorry, man. that's just how it is. i knew every inch of Laguna Seca before i drove on it. that helped immensely.
interesting to note that my car drove much closer to GT than i thought it would. the game had the feel of the banked and off-camber corners down pretty nicely.
simulators can help but they should not be used as a substitute to real seat time.
the reason for seat time is to get comfortable at the bleeding edge of traction. This allows you to put 100% focus into driving while doing triple digit speeds without getting nervous.
the more confidant you are in your driving and car control, the faster (and safer) you will be.
never substitute true seat time for a video game.

Well let me list my current mods that I can think of.
Whiteline roll center adjusters
BC coilovers
NT03M 17x9.5
Dunlop Direzza Z2 255/40/17
Front lip isnt so bad either. Kind of has a little lip built into it.
Hawk HP Plus pads
Slotted and drilled rotors (looking to go slotted only)
OEM Rear Wing.

WTF are "Whiteline roll center adjusters"?

I've learned so much from that game over the years it's insane. Most realistic game period. You'll hate all the other nonsense racing games after playing that for a while lol
Oh yes! They dont call that thing the driving simulator for nothing. 6 should be out soon if its not already. I need to jump on that!
