Indeed some tracks really hurt your brakes more than others, and if you get them to the hot side of their operating range you definitely use up their life span faster. I actually got 14 track days out of my last Girodisc front slotted rings before they cracked which seems pretty darn good.

For pads I go through a set of Raybestos in 2 Time Trial events (4 track days) or 3 HPDE events (6 track days) which consumes 7-8mm out of 9mm total pad material on the most worn corner. After that they seem to only have 2-5mm of thickness depending on where you measure although I'm seeing slightly increased life when I rotate the pads around every event. Apparently the stock brakes eat the insides more than the outside pads, and the upper front edge gets chowed the most which is the leading edge of the pads.

So I guess that it makes sense that the inside leading edge of the brake pads gets eaten the fastest due to that spot likely being hotter than the rest. I'm working on a brake cooling setup that dumps a 2.5" hose into the rotor and the 3" duct will dump air over the back side of the caliper which should hopefully aid the tapered wear a bit, we will see!
