Professional Awesome Racing Time Attack Roll Cage

Hope this can give you guys a good starting point on cage design. This is what we felt was the best option for us. Everything is over on MotoIQ. I'll answer any questions you may have here as well. Thanks!

Dan

I debated it... but then would I just post pictures or would I post everything I wrote too? I figured this route would be more simple.

I read your article intently because I also have a chassis that I want to prep for the track.

I also want to take in the same direction that you guys did. I have come across a stripped chassis that was stripped due to theft. I plan to have it seam welded and caged.

I know you guys pointed out that the better way to prep the chassis was to dip it and then coat it. However, I am a newb when it comes to prepping a car chassis for the track.

I will try to research local companies in my area that could dip my chassis, coat it, seam weld it and cage it. Any additional advice?

The best advice I'd say is to make sure you cut ALL the metal you don't want, then dip, then do the cage and seam welding... then have it coated. That's the best way to go about it and the way we should have done it. Also, I've heard that alkaline dipping is safer for than acid dipping, but that's just what I've heard, I haven't had personal experience with either.
