Front axles that DSS sells for the X arm conversion are 20mm longer. Good bet the arms are +20mm..

The coupling nut I had made is ~3-1/8" long (per my scribbles I gave to the machine shop) and would cover everything from Evo 9 arms up to 1.5" longer arms.

There will be interference with stock length arms with the male rod end regardless of coupler nut.

The whiteline center of ball joint to end of thread is 3-1/8"

I'll have to measure mine, but the reason mine are as short as they are was actually because I ran out of thread on the steering arm side. I'll have to check how long they actually are but with ~4deg camber and 1/8" toe out I only ended up having about 1/4" of space at the end after cutting them down. They're like 2.5" now I think, will have to double check tonight though.

Reminder to get Stainless not black oxide coated hardware when you finally offer them. The black oxide we put on the AP kits turns into a rusty mess in less then a year. Plus if you're gonna build something that pretty don't dull it with oxide .

All my hardware is zinc plated except one that I cant get because of the fine pitch. That part still annoys me but its a recessed part that's too late to change. Some of the big bolts (M12 - 70 and 90mm) are all more than a buck a piece. Using zinc and not stainless because 8.8 hardware is about 50-100% greater tensile strength.

My protos just had black oxide and they definitely built up some surface rust after a summer of racing though we had lots of rain events.

Ahh, nice catch on the pics then. I definitely wanted some proper corrosion resistant hardware but that first set was all a crazy rush to finish to get to a race in California where I bent the first designs steering arms. Much learned from that first set for sure!
