I'm currently on 8/10 with tanabe fsb, whiteline rsb (smaller one, on soft), and a handful of bushings, running on 17x8 bbs's with 245s.

changing only tires & wheels, i'll be going to 17x9.5s on 255s, in what I hope to be a decent jump in grip overall. as far as running springs that are "too soft," the only thing that will happen here is that I won't have enough spring for the tire - but in any case, all else equal the car will only be faster, correct? I realize that I may have to change the pressures, damping, rsb in order to compensate for the change in balance that may occur

small update - weds wasn't interested in doing a 67.1 bore regardless of the number of purchases, so i'll just mount them with the lugs and that should be centered enough. I do want to run the caps to cover the hubs, and you can't run the centering rings & the center caps. no biggie! either way excited to get these wheels on!

I was thinking the same thing!

You either use hub centering with rings or you use conical nuts for centering...anything else would most likely not be in the center...

according to them, it doesn't fit with center caps.

http://www.kamispeed.com/WedsSport-T...ds.tc105cc.htm

which begs the question, why not combine center caps with hubcentric rings. who knows?

they probably just don't guarantee that the center caps and centering rings will work together. More likely than not some sort of centering ring will work with the caps.

Well I should have an update and some pictures of work needed on the X. Decided to go with 18x10.5 ET 22. Im going to mount 275 (yes i know not legal) Rival S' on them that I have left over and take a bunch of pictures of what needs to be rolled for clearance from all angles. Gonna kill these off at the locals while the "fast" guys figure out what the new tire for 2017 will be. lol For such a popular car there really isnt anything regarding a modern STU evo X build.

Oh there's def a way. The X is under-rated IMO and a hell of a performer if set up right. Car is said to be burried in B-street as well, and I agree that it will most likely never win it, but its good enough to trophy without a doubt.

As for tires, new hankooks, new star specs, new 255 and under Rivals.....I have a feeling the re71r won't be the easy button.
