I am talking about breakaway torque as specced by ralliart in their diff manual... (measured with a tq wrench with the other shaft held in a vice.. I am not sure about spring preload as it is done by a cone washer of various thickness...
This is a ralliart diff used in gr N on tarmac. It came with a 45/0 deg ramp but it also has a 45/5 ramp so it can work as a 1.5 diff... 52 deg ramp is also available separately..
Six plates per side, so I can re stack it if nedeed... I know it works in rally but wanted to try it on the road and track... so will use the less preload for start..
I am not too bothered by noise but would like to avoid CV and driveshaft damage if possible..

Whole intake is free to modify, so I would think you could do what ever you want in there. As of adding new sensors to the SP, that part I am not sure about...gut feel would be that is OK, but than again...

Will be interesting to see what they decide to change and if it impact SM. Im cool with a ST SM style class but it will have to change what cars are in what class. I can put 500 down with my 275 RA-1s (not as good as a top tier tire these days) where a 2wd guy is going to suffer much harder.
At that point, there really will need to be an AWD separation.

Secondly, is there any hope for a Street class AWD shuffle now that CTR is in there a FoRS is not doing that great.

Well, my 2017 debut in a "National" event was a fail. I thought the car was nice and healthy with rebuilt transmission/xfer case and new clutch done at end of 2015 (minimal events in 2016 and no hard launches since) would survive the NJ ProSolo. Not a single run was made by me and the car broke down on my co-driver's third run. =(
Now back to fixing the car.....based on a fellow autoxer opinion, the front diff is probably shot (which in hindsight should have been swapped out also at the time).

I also have the TRE rear diff but I actually didn't feel the back end works as well until after the WavTrac (maybe they are working together as a package now?) The car is a lot more drivable in sweepers now, but the real test is when the temperature is in the 80s. The two events I did were in the high 50s, and my car generally feels a lot better in cooler temperature anyways.
