tube frame front end/radiator support
Have any of u guys tube framed ur front end of ur evo's?
I had a nudge with a tyre wall a month or so ago which has pushed the upper radiator support back about 3 inches. im considering wether i pull it back out again or wether its worth just cutting the rad support out and tube framing the front. mainly just the upper radiator support. but could consider doing the lower also if its pretty straight forward.
I did a quick google but couldnt find much info on this. Does anybody do one off the shelf?
Hopefully some of u have some good pics of how youve done urs to give me a good idea of how complex it is to do and what not

Detachable front end would make it soooooo easy to pull the drivetrain.

I've been thinking about this in a way: mostly for the purpose of being able to detach it. When we pull the front ends off of muscle cars, engine work is SO much easier and I'd like that for the Evo. Even if it took me forever to pull the panels off, etc... it would be worth it to remove the radiator support, be it tubed, OEM, or whatever.
If I had the knowledge, I'd do it. Seeing how I have to pay someone... it will have to wait LOL

i stumbled across this car at WTAC i think it was 2012. I kind of wish i took more photos of the fab detail but i had no interest in going this far with my evo at the time.
As some of you mentioned id want it to be detachable so we can remove the whole front end when working on the car. make it so easy to do an engine and gbox change. esp considering we did 7 gearboxes last year hahaha. i doubt it will come out again now the Modena Sequential is in though. Really should update my build thread with some photos of it.
How did u guys go about attaching the north south beam and radiator. also what grade, size and thickness material did you use?
