oh yeah lol. spray some flex seal on it and hang it outside lol
It may be crazy enough to just work haha.
So looks like I can fit the canister through the vent opening on the left side of the trunk, and have it mounted in there somewhere. The right I would either have to figure out a spot under the car, saw someone mount some on the rear bumper, or cut a hole.
Leaving them outside is usually better for performance. Having the reservoirs in an area that allows airflow over them helps keep the fluid temp more stable.
You don't have any other option aside from two small holes on the side of the spare tire trunk area. It definitely helps with the access to the canister. My previous Penske set had them around the wheel on all 4 corners and it was PITA to adjust (especially if it is raining).
As of loosing the pressure, rears usually come with quick disconnects which are meant to do such action. If you do have concerns about this, get a nitrogen bottle with a good gauge and zap them every once in a while just to be sure. The thing is that even measuring of those is causing them to loose some pressure there and because there is not that much gas there, it can have a good drop from even such benign thing.
This is where mine are. As you can see, front rebound adjustment is right there and easy to do. For the rears, it has to be done through the battery and windshield wiper fluid container openings (this one is not fun) Rears Front left Front right
