Are you on E85? I’m thinking yes if you are maxing the fuel pump? If so, I think that changes the equation for how effective your intercooler needs to be.

Good point. Yes, I was on e85 with both FMICs. That does help a lot and my main reason for running it at the track

If you look at my data... Tube and fin ftw. I'll take a 10-15F drop in MAT and oil temps from real sensors data logged over multiple laps and track days to internet shrugs any day of the week. Weight loss off the front of the car is a win as well.

Looking at two shiny things and stating shrug "No knock I guess it works" shrug is far from a scientific comparison and contributing nothing but noise.

Some people might say I can be an ******* but at least I contribute actual data.

razorlab, was your tube/fin Greddy thicker than your previous AGP bar/plate? It looks like it in the photo you posted.

AGP
20”x13”x3.5”
cubic inches= 910
24.5lbs

Greddy 33F
20.6”x11.6”x3.95"
cubic inches= 943

One thing I didn't do is weigh the Greddy 33F.

OEM Evo X FMIC weighs 9.5lbs

Well, lookit you go! Let's go around and bag on anyone posting their experiences without data. I bet we could clear this website out in no time flat.
That should take care of 99% of the threads here.
As for you being an *********, looks like there's data to back that up. shrug

Data is a good thing. My Bar/plate ETS also works "fine", no knock etc. so why would I switch based you claiming the same thing? After seeing actual data from @razorlab , I am now inclined to find a tube/fin IC to shave some weight since I can tell it actually works.

It's absolutely a great thing, I'm not saying negative about him posting numbers. I also aren't suggesting anyone change a part on their car based on my experience. But if OP is on the fence and sees multiple people with positive outcomes, then it may help make a decision. He's free to discount my post, if he just wants numbers.
Seeing how EVERYBODY who posted above me was doing the same (no data or numbers), I added my $0.02.

Maybe due to popularity? I have always, always, always been told bar and plate is "the way to go", so maybe why everyone uses the cores? I get the impression that tuners in Japan, etc are more concerned with efficiency and building a car "properly", above all, vs American's take of "I'm overdoing it so I can go bigger latter".

Because muricans only drag race and size/mass make for better single pull vehicles. I swapped to the blitz for the weight change, cant say I've noticed much difference over the ETS 3.5" but I also havent done anything to collect data.

I got mine from FRSport when they had a sale, was $273 shipped. Looks like the normal price is much more though. They were were in the middle of moving and clearing out inventory so I think I just got lucky and didn't know it was a sale.
