I was wondering about the helpers - I currently have them on my 7" springs and wasn't sure whether I'd be able to keep them switching to 6s while targeting 285s.

I ended up pushing the easy button and buying the 265 Yokos for this year so I have more time to figure stuff like this out now.

So with the current rules for 2022, I'm a little confused on PVC/catch can stuff. Is the Kozmic Catch can legal in STU?

Last year I was running between -4.5/-5 F and -2.2 R. Unsure what I'll be at this year with changes to come.

I would think a catch can would be legal. I'll try to take a look at the rules when I have a moment.

With the SSB parts, -4 to -4.2 front, and -3 to -3.2 rear.

2022 SCCA SOLO rules

Page 82 (E.) has your answer. And yes, they are legal.

Thanks for pointing that out!

Section 14.10c: Emissions or engine management components in the air intake system, such as a PCV valve or mass airflow sensor, may not be removed, modified, or replaced, and must retain their original function along the flow path.

This is what was throwing me off, since the Kozmic can replaces the line from the back side of the VC to the Intake pipe and routes it to the can.

As just another data point, I had my first event with 285/30r18 Nankang CR-1's on 18x10 Wedssport's yesterday. No issues at all, no rubbing (rolled rear fender). Current camber settings are -4 front -2 rear. Offsets were +15 net front (20mm spacer) and +35 rear. Overall I think it's perfect for this car in an auto-x setup. It was a cold day (around 45 degrees) so I did have trouble getting heat into the tires and the CR-1's don't seem to like the cold (at least not on their first scrub-in event). But overall very happy.

Thanks for sharing - the more data the better! Any pictures of the ride height of your evo?!

In regards to my evo - I missed last week's NRSCCA event, but thankfully got to co-drive a newly built STR Miata instead. What a treat to drive I must say. Ended up 3rd in PAX for the day between Riley Heaton and Ron Williams. No complaints

I'm still waiting on my coilovers to arrive. There was a slight delay in receiving some of the parts for these. Jon states they should be shipping out tomorrow evening, so hopefully I get them in time for this coming weekend's festivities! I also am planning on testing out the CR1's in a 285 variety in the 11/10" combo. I just hope these aren't too far off the pace of a A052...

No immediate pictures but front is 14.5" from center of wheel to fender and rear is around 14". I'm probably a bit higher than most and going to play around with dropping the rear a bit.

Did you run the 20mm spacer up front to clear your springs or for some other reason?
Thank you for the data point - helpful as I am going to get the car re-aligned soon and -4/-2 *seemed* like the right combo from old threads.

Yes, to clear the spring/shock. Honestly I think a 10 or 15mm spacer would be fine for my setup but it all depends on your coil-over structure. I'm on Ohlins.

I did just find out that there are national level events at the FIRM which is only 2 hours from me, so I'll likely participate in at least 1 this year.
