If you knew what I went though when I made my pan you would understand why I got a chuckle out of this comment.
Long story. Ignore me lol
Haha - I just wanted to keep it as simple for the installer as possible.
I love the Japanese mentality when it comes to aftermarket pads. HKS/Mines/Tomei etc.
They are all about keeping it as simple as possible, so you dont lose sight of what the product is trying to achieve.
So i've tried to incorporate that, while making a functional improvement!
I would also like to order one. Is there a group buy that I can be added to?
On another note just curious if the coating on the pan is zinc plated with yellow chromate conversion?
No group buy yet, I'm currently producing 20x kits though. The plan is to have the website up in the next couple of weeks so people can order.
The zinc either comes in Silver or Gold. I haven't decided if we're going to do all one colour, or do a mix.

Yup - you'll need to thoroughly clean the pans before they are installed. The will come covered in WD40 to prevent surface rust during transit.
You should always inspect and clean any part before installing on your car.

I agree. My pans also had stock location so buyers didn't need to order bespoke parts of anything went wrong. It didn't go over well with some lol

I have the same type of stories about this. Lol
Anyway, turns out I'm keeping my Evo, so I will most likely pick one of these kits up from you as well.. I love my OEM short block and would like to keep it living as long as possible!
Some production updates today.
I'm going to be doing two batches of 20x pans to get the ball rolling.
So for a lot of my parts, i'm ordering 45x of each.
Here are some pics of the regulator bases which get welded into the oil pan.
These have blind holes so they dont leak up the threads (like turbo oil drains etc).
So it's extra cost and complexity, but it makes it a better product.
2 pieces of steel loaded into the machine vices, ready to go CNC working it's magic Old Rev1 design versus Rev2 design. Rev two is faster to machine and has less burrs that needs to be worked. Overall a better piece. Tetris anyone? 45 bases finished op.1 in the CNC machine This is what they will look like after Op.2 has been completed. It's ready to weld into the oil pan.
Oh, yes. Where do we order and what's the lead time? Thanks!
I've got everything I need except for the oil lines. They are being made early next week.
So I can ship at the end of next week, if there are no delays.
I'm working to get the website finished this week, so you can order online.
Otherwise if you'd like to send me a PM, I can send you through a paypal money request.
I've used the Evo 9 OEM oil pan as the basis for the kit, as it's the only pan available for purchase from Mitsubishi.
If you're running an early model Evo 8, I think the turbo oil drain wont work. There was a crossover period, but i'm not 100% sure of the year.
Please see in the pic, we need to use the turbo drain which has the offset bolt holes.
If anyone has the bolt holes which are parallel with the pan mounting surface, you'll need to purchase a later model turbo drain (1225A001). I've got 10x in stock for those that need it. Not so bad for the USA market, but in the UK, NZ and Australia, we have lots of Evo 4-8's which will need to be changed.
