First one was me in pre-grid. This one is at the start line. My car's gonna look so sweet when I get the magnetic numbers (what do you guys think about red?)

This is my dad racing his '69 Shelby GT350. Not a Lancer, but definitely one sweet ride!

My best time was just over 72 seconds. TOD was about 57.5 seconds. Car was smooth through the fast corners and leaned a little in the slaloms, but only got sideways once and hit one cone! Was the fastest auto-x course I've ever seen (one mile in 58 seconds means average speed of over 60mph!) I had a blast, and can't wait until next year's Buttonwillow event. Until then, I'll continue going to the other races (Hollywood Park, Norton AFB, and California Speedway). Hope to see some of you guys there!

Next event is Nov. 3rd. They haven't chosen a location yet, but they're usually at Hollywood Park (about 30 min from the valley). Check out www.solo2.com that's the best place to get info. PM or email me and I'll help you with anything I can. Just let me know.

urbanknight,

looking forward to meeting you when I AutoX my new Evo 7.
I've been away from SCCA Solo2 for a couple months, but looking forward to getting back into the action very soon

Sweet! Some of the STS drivers are already talking about the EVO since it has something like 40-50 more HP than the WRX.

I spent almost a year away from Solo2 when I owned my 89 Trans Am. My attendance depended on if my car was in the shop or not (the Suburban I had to borrow wouldn't be very fun to auto-x). After engine, radiator, trans, ECU, pop-up headlight motors, hatch motor, wires melting, and differential breaking, I got a more reliable car. See you out there.
