I was told by buschur I couldnt run his cams in my buschur motor because he couldnt remember if he clearanced my pistons or not so they got to be cutting it close....

if i recall when glancing at my buschur shortblock the pistons they use in their blocks are dished quite a bit more than factory which should clear valves but when they machine the top of the block and head to level it you lose some of that extra space. thats why when i get my head built by them im going to drive it up there so they can make sure everything fits correctly etc etc., for instance if my block is warped which i highly doubt, but most likely just the head since its aluminum and i've only put a few thousand miles on the new block.

and yes i know yall already know this stuff but im bored and cant stop typing.

but on a stroker motor, dosnt the piston not go up as high? allowing the valve to go farther down?

i think denver's is a 2.0 litre just like mine but his block and head were built at the same time, which is what i should have done.

Mine is a 2.0... and I may or may not have the same pistons as you.... Mike took the car up there, and had the work done, david and mike are buddies, and both do not remember what pistons are in my motor.... I figured if the builder suggested to me knot to run his cams for fear of contact then I better listen.... the Buschur 272 are a good cam and was my initial choice followed by the FP, but I really was impressed with the HP slope I saw on the kelfords, very linear, predictable, and very street able, so I went with Keflords and haven't regretted it!! (In an 8 though)

From what I hear on the whole cam situation (a few post about it) Kelford is being very responsive and looking into the issue. I cant say that about other manufactures as they have not posted, or anyone who has contacted them have not posted.... either way.. in this case, no news is bad news.

Tim... heads comming off shortly any way, and I will be checking hahaha
